RUBIC is located in a new 2000 sq ft annex of one of the most centrally located Science Buildings on the Newark Campus, the Aidekman building, a four level, 64,000 sq ft, custom-designed building with a state-of-the-art animal facility. This provides easy access from any Rutgers campus and from users in nearby NYC. For example, access from the NYC north of the campus is about 20 minutes by train and from the New Brunswick campus in the south is also about 25 minutes by NJ Transit which comes directly on the Newark Campus within 2 blocks from the proposed location. The Aidekman building, is one of the newer 15 Science buildings on the Rutgers Campus and also presently holds the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience.
