INFO FOR RESEARCHERS
Starting a study at RUBIC
The following are questions that need to be addressed before starting your research project at RUBIC:
Will you use the RUBIC computer or your own laptop to present stimuli and collect responses?
Which stimulus presentation program will you be using (e.g., Matlab, EPrime, PsychoPy)?
How will your subjects respond (e.g., keypress, trackball, etc)?
Will you be using an audio stimulus during your study?
Does your study require the collection of biophysical responses such as heart rate?
Will you be using the eyetracker?
The RUBIC WIKI contains detailed information about how to use the resources available at RUBIC.
Please contact the Research Coordinator if you have any questions about starting your study at RUBIC.
Preparing your subjects
- Please be sure to remind your subjects that on their visit to RUBIC they should:
- wear comfortable clothing that doesn't have metallic decoration (e.g., studs, buttons, zippers, metal threading)
- remove, or prepare to remove, any body piercings, jewelry, or hair extensions
- confirm that they are comfortable in tight spaces (not claustrophobic)
