Director
Dr. Stephen José Hanson directs RUBIC and coordinates the day-to-day operation , overseeing the budget, financial plan, and access to the magnet. With the Center Management Committee, Dr. Hanson is responsible for the technical administration and policy control of the magnet including general usage and safety. Research in the center is facilitated by regular user meetings, training sessions, and state-of-the-art control and stimulus-presentation software. Technical staff provides users with help creating appropriate protocols and acquiring the scans. The center offers short- and long-term storage of data, and appropriate data-analysis tools, plus training with such tools. Finally, all data will be securely and properly maintained to preserve the integrity and privacy of subject data with appropriate bioinformatics tools.
Center Management Committee
There is also a center management committee that has responsibility for policy decisions, access to the center, research development, budget management, and maintenance of the magnet and associated research equipment . The Center Management Committee consists of the Director and two Associate Directors as listed below.
Gregg Ferencz
is a certified MR Research Technologist who oversees the scanning and keeps the magnet running. Helps with protocols and initial training on the scanner as well as maintains a safe and secure environment.
Andria Figueiredo
Is the Administrative Assistant in RUBIC who is responsible for access to the center, Maintenance of financial budgets and purchasing and general administration of resources and services.

Dr. Stephen José Hanson has previously held positions as Chair of Psychology Department on Newark Campus, co-director of the University-Medical School Brain Imaging Center, and Director of the Learning System Sciences Department at SIEMENS Research Center (Princeton, Munich, Paris) and is presently Professor of Psychology (NK), member of Cognitive Science Center (NB) and Information ScienDr. Hanson was also a founding member of the Advisory Board on the McDonnell-PEW Cognitive Neuroscience Program (1989-2000) that help initiate and foster much of the Cognitive Neuroscience field.
He is also the editor of the MIT Press Foundational Issues in Human Brain Mapping (2010) and is working on a book: Brain Reading: Multivariate Pattern Analysis, Prediction, and Visualization of Brain Imaging Data. ce (NJIT).
Mauricio Delgado

Dr. Mauricio R. Delgado is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Rutgers University and Department Chair, with an appointment in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience.
Dr. Delgado obtained his Ph.D. in neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his post-doctoral training at New York University. His research team uses functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) in conjunction with physiological and behavioral measures to bridge cognitive neuroscience approaches with findings from animal models and emerging fields such as neuroeconomics and social neuroscience.
Dr. Delgado is an associate editor for Cognitive, Affective & Behavioral Neuroscience, a consulting editor for NeuroImage, and serves on review panels for the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation.
Bart Krekelberg

Dr. Krekelberg is an associate professor in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience. in which he serves as Co-Director. He has a background in physics and artificial intelligence and trained as a postdoctoral fellow at the Ruhr University Bochum, the Max Planck Institute, in Tuebingen, Germany, and the Salk Institute, San Diego. Beyond functional imaging, his laboratory uses computational modeling, behavioral methods, and intracortical recording to study the neural mechanisms of visual perception.
He is an academic editor at PloS One, has participated in scientific reviews for the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and various international research organizations. He has developed open source tools for behavioral control and synchronized data acquisition that can be used across behavioral, electrophysiological, and functional imaging experiments and has extensive experience in computational modeling and aspects of data analysis (such as the analysis of multi-voxel patterns) that are used in functional imaging.
Executive Committee
The executive committee will have primary responsibility for oversight of budget, center policy, and dispute resolution. The committee will meet quarterly or when required in order to set user rates, discuss safety and review end of year budget projections. The Executive committee will consist of the Director, and two associate directors

Catherine Hanson
Ph.D., is a Research Faculty in the CMBN and the Research Coordinator for RUBIC. Her research focuses on cognitive neuroscience of attention and memory, ASD and brain connectivity modeling.
